Our Calendars

A bit of a passion project, something we’ve been doing since the beginning of starting our design studio has been to create a Calendar each year with a specific data visualization focus. Themes in the past have ranged from “When the World Celebrates”, to “Tech Startup Evolution”, to “Melting the Year”. And other times, it’s just about creating a beautiful new visualization of a Calendar.

Not only is it an excellent exercise in flexing our visualization muscles, it’s also a way we love to give back to the community and clients that support Bureau Oberhaeuser!

Visualization of a Pandemic

During the past year no other topic has been more on our minds than the pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Many decisions were made to save as many lives as possible through political resolutions and through our own responsible actions. In 2021 the days are still unwritten, but we hopefully expect a positive development and a return to normality through the first vaccinations.
Until then you can compare the resulting data on a daily basis and above all stay positiv - test negative!

LEAPS IN
SPACE

Each new year starts with a celebration, a Holiday celebrated by almost every nation. As we prepared concepts for this year’s calendar, this made us wonder what other Holidays are commonly celebrated among other nations.

In that spirit of unity, we wanted to provide a general impression of how nations and people groups around the earth celebrate. In which quarters, months and days of 2019 the most holidays take place, and which occasions are celebrated the most around the world.
